What's up everyone! I'm Jaki. Most of you know me as Jaki at Krossover or Jaki from FloHoops. As soon as I began playing competitive basketball in 5th grade, I've been known as a 'google search' for scouting reports. Try me! Though officially tabbed with the nickname by my teammates at Binghamton University, my life consisted of sleepless nights throughout high school memorizing then-young blogs like Hoopgurlz.com and MaxPreps. Once it came time to think off the court, I immediately began funneling this knowledge into content generation at every opportunity I sought out. First, as Assistant Sports Editor at The BU Pipe Dream, and a marketing intern with a minor league baseball club. Once I graduated in 2011, I dove head first into sports television production with IMG Media, ran content as community manager at Krossover, and currently am a content marketer and producer for FloHoops/FloSports.
I've been lucky to team up with several talented sports videographers throughout my career to produce and tell the story behind today's athletes. While at Krossover, I began producing mini-features for our blog and youtube channel. With the move to FloSports, I've acted as the producer and (and soon to be host) on longer-form content both in-front and behind our paywall.
1 ON 1
I've been fortunate to be in the gym alongside some of today's brightest college and NBA stars throughout their prep careers. My interview experience in the grassroots space began in 2014 behind the camera with the class of 2015, and continued in front of the camera in 2015 (Class of 2016) and 2016 (Class of 2017) with Krossover TV. In 2016, I joined FloHoops and experimented with a variety of different interview styles throughout the season. My goal is to give each player an opportunity to tell their story as honestly, and unbiased as possible. Topics cover event experiences, work ethics, mentors and a little bit of recruiting if it fits!
My content experience varies from live event marketing, content marketing for b2b, and content marketing for b2c. While at sports-giant IMG Worldwide's Media Department, I built my base through the production of primetime sporting events and reality television. From there, I jumped back into the hoops world with Krossover and haven't left the sport since.
